Dakota Dakota Boring
Dakota has been involved in CrossFit for over 3 years and got started when he met some friends that invited him to his first class, where his first workout was “100 Burpee Pullups”. He soon discovered there was a new gym opening close to his home, got involved and became a coach.  Before CrossFit he played football for 6 years. Mobility is his jam. “Moving well + feeling good = my goal”.

“Mental game is the hard part, physical stuff is easy.”

Nate Nate Chapman
Nate has been doing CrossFit for about 3 years.  His previous athletics experience was in baseball, football, basketball, tennis, and track and field.  Preparing for these sports he got into strength training, where he fell in love with the challenge of pushing his body beyond its normal limitations. Initially this led him into bodybuilding until he found CrossFit, which he found challenged him constantly in different ways.

“I know there are a lot of awe-inspiring people out there, who are doing amazing things every day. But I have to say from personal experience coaching. I have never been more surprised by people and how hard they are willing to go in order to break barriers, all to simply better themselves.”

Georgana Georgana Jackson
Georgana began her CrossFit journey a little over three years ago. Historically, she had been a member of various standard and speciality gyms, but had a hard time maintaining a consistent program. The typical gym routines and classes always became boring and stagnant over time. CrossFit was different. She was immediately blown away by the supportive, community environment that CrossFit had to offer, and was amazed daily with the intensity that was possible. Georgana was able to push limits and do more work than she ever imagined, and eventually was led to help others do the same.

“Teaching people skills and watching them progress is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. It is absolutely amazing to see the growth, both mentally and physically, that everyone achieves no matter where they start. CrossFit can open so many doors for so many people.”

Kasey Kasey McCormick
Kasey started CrossFit about 3 years ago. She grew up playing soccer and swimming, however swimming quickly became her passion. She continued swimming through college and made it to the NAIA National Championship all 4 years both individually and on relay teams. In the summer of 2014 she wandered into her first CrossFit box where she met “Cindy”, tearing both her hands wide open and could hardly extend her arms for next week. She was hooked. In September of 2014 she came to CrossFit Pistol Creek and told the coaches “I want to train to compete”. From then on CrossFit has filled the void left from her 12 year swimming career.

She has always had a competitive nature with a desire to improve herself but now really loves being able to help other people achieve their own goals, pushing them a little further than they thought they could go.“It’s the journey: the hard days, the PR’s, the ripped hands, the push for one more rep, the community….that’s what keeps us all coming back, hold strong to the journey-it’ll take you places.”

Amanda Amanda Stone
Amanda’s interest in group sports activities started at the young age of seven. Since that time, she has participated in a variety of organized sports. In 2009, Amanda decided it was time to share with others her passion for group fitness and became certified to teach. She has held certifications with AAAI/ISMA, Les Mills and Mad Dogg Athletics.

In addition to group fitness, Amanda has always had a love for running. She has completed 2 full marathons, many half-marathons and several other off-road adventure/obstacle races and was beginning to see the wear and tear on her body. It was the desire to find balance with distance running and CrossFit workouts that caused her to really become interested in the CrossFit coaching certification. It has been a journey to learn how to combine the two sports and, while it hasn’t always been easy, Amanda would agree that participating in CrossFit has definitely improved her overall running performance.

At CFPC, Amanda is the CrossFit Kids Coach. She will tell you that this is her absolute favorite coaching experience she has had to date. To be part of a child/young adult’s fitness journey is quite remarkable and it’s certainly a responsibility she doesn’t take lightly. For Amanda, it’s about encouraging good habits at an early age and being fit for life.
